You guys, I almost kicked the physical therapist today. I’m not violent, but it was a natural reflex because she HURT me. She spent 30 minutes “massaging” the length of my outer right quad, or IT band, with her forearm. She focused most of her attention on the outside of my knee.
I don’t think I unclenched, or quit wincing, for the entire 30 minutes. I have four more sessions scheduled with her to endure this treatment. Even sitting here it feels like someone took a baseball bat to my leg. But in the end it will be worth it, because I will be healthy and stronger and able to run again!
She also gave me some exercises to strengthen my glutes, so operation Butt Like Beyonce is in full swing!
